Guerrilla 450 Apex

Lower handlebars. Sharper steering.

The Motorcycle Story
Lower handlebars change more than just your posture. They change where the bike looks.

The Apex is the road-tuned version of the Guerrilla 450. The aluminum handlebars sit 56 mm lower and 57 mm further forward than the steel ones on the standard version. The riding position is more compact and biased towards the front wheel, making the steering more direct.

The focus shifts to Vredestein Centauro ST+ road tires instead of all-terrain ones, a color-matched headlight cowl, and a removable rear seat cover. Apex Red is a single-color scheme, while Apex Black combines black with grey.

The powertrain and chassis remain unchanged: the liquid-cooled 452 cc Sherpa single-cylinder engine, 29.44 kW, 40 Nm, ride-by-wire, and four riding modes. The Tripper TFT display comes as standard equipment on the Apex. Those looking for the same machine with a more upright riding position and a wider range of colors can find it on the page Guerrilla 450.

SHERPA 450 · 452 CC

Sherpa 452 cc unchanged

Liquid-cooled Sherpa single-cylinder engine with DOHC and a four-valve head, identical to the Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450. Ride-by-wire provides linear response, and four riding modes adjust engine and ABS behavior. Six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. The Apex does not alter the powertrain; it changes the riding position and contact with the road.

STORY · HERITAGE

Riding position 56 mm lower

The aluminum handlebars change your torso angle and how much weight is placed on the front wheel. Your hands are further out and lower, with your body leaning more forward. You can attack corners with more confidence, and the front wheel provides clearer feedback. On long straights, it is less comfortable than the upright position of the base model.

DETAIL · CRAFTSMANSHIP

Road tires instead of all-terrain

Vredestein Centauro ST+ are road-oriented tires. The standard Guerrilla rides on CEAT Gripp XL RE tires with a dual-purpose tread pattern designed for unpaved surfaces as well. The Apex abandons this ambition, trading it for grip on asphalt, both in the dry and the wet. The dimensions remain 120/70R17 at the front and 160/60R17 at the rear.

ENGINE · CHARACTER

Apex Red and Apex Black

Apex Red is a single-tone colorway, while Apex Black combines black with gray. Both feature a color-matched headlight cowl and a rear seat cowl that can be removed with an Allen key, revealing a full-sized seat for a passenger. The other eight color options for the Guerrilla 450 are not available for the Apex.

RIDE · FEELINGS

What remains the same

The engine, frame, suspension, and brakes are identical to the Guerrilla 450. The 452 cc Sherpa single-cylinder engine produces 29.44 kW at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm, with a top speed of 155 km/h. The power remains under the 35 kW limit, and the power-to-weight ratio of approximately 0.16 kW/kg is well below the 0.2 kW/kg threshold, meaning the Apex qualifies for an A2 license without the need for a power restrictor. Every new motorcycle comes with a three-year factory warranty and three years of European roadside assistance.
