Goan Classic 350

A bobber with the spirit of Goa, built in Madras.

The Motorcycle Story
Heritage in a dialect born outside the factory walls.

The Goan Classic 350 is the first production bobber from Royal Enfield, built in the spirit of the style that emerged in Goa, India, in the 1960s. Local mechanics there customized imported Bullets for the tropical climate and slow-paced rides along coastal roads.

The mechanics are identical to the Classic 350: the same 349cc single-cylinder engine, the same frame, and power output that perfectly fits an A2 license. Everything else has changed. Ape-hanger handlebars, a solo seat with a visible spring, whitewall tires on spoked wheels, and a two-tone paint scheme with a palette inspired by the Portuguese churches of Goa.

This isn't a bike for six-hundred-kilometer trips or for carrying a passenger. It’s for an afternoon ride to the river, a Saturday coffee in front of the garage, a slow weekend with no destination. For the rider who knows that some things shouldn't be rushed. For those who prefer the original silhouette, there is Classic 350.

A heart with rhythm

Air-cooled 349cc single-cylinder engine, the same unit found in the Classic 350 and Bullet 350. Low revs, broad torque. You’ll hear that characteristic thump before you even see the bike. Power that counts under the seat, not just on a spec sheet.

STORY · HERITAGE

A subculture that finally got its due

Goa, a former Portuguese colony on the Konkan Coast. In the 1960s, local mechanics began modifying imported Bullets for the tropical climate: lowering the seat, raising the handlebars, and adding whitewall tires. Decades later, Royal Enfield has translated this custom culture into a production model.

DETAIL · CRAFTSMANSHIP

Bobber hallmarks

Ape-hanger handlebars positioned above shoulder level. A solo seat with a visible coil spring. A stripped-back rear end with no passenger seat. These are details that might trade off some long-distance comfort for a bike with character that stands out from a distance.

ENGINE · CHARACTER

The engine remains, the identity has evolved

The engine is identical to the Classic 350 and Bullet 350: an air-cooled single-cylinder unit that Royal Enfield has been refining for decades. The mechanics remain the same; it is the bike's identity that has been transformed.

RIDE · FEELINGS

Attitude, not speed

The geometry remains the same as the Classic 350: predictable and stable. What changes is the impression the bike makes. High handlebars, a low seat, and a relaxed riding position. You ride it slowly on purpose, not out of necessity.
